The global sorghum community is coming to Australia.

In February 2029, researchers, breeders, industry leaders, students and partners from around the world will gather on Queensland's Gold Coast for the next Global Sorghum Conference – Sorghum in the 21st Century.

Building on the success of previous conferences in Cape Town, Montpellier and Lubbock, the 2029 conference will bring together the global community to share new science, exchange ideas and build collaborations around one of the world's most important and resilient crops.

Hosted by the Australian Sorghum Conferences Association, the conference will showcase advances across sorghum genetics and breeding, crop production, climate resilience, food and feed, new technologies and end uses, while providing opportunities to experience Australian sorghum research, production systems and industry first-hand.
